CD Projekt Red has updated its website with more information about its application for Polish government grants for four of their projects, which are likely related to the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.
As covered last year, the Polish government is partly funding several proposals from CD Projekt Red. In total, the Witcher 3 developer has been granted roughly $7 million to realize four game development goals, including “cinematic feel”, “seamless multiplayer, “animation excellence” and “city creation”.
On its website, CD Projekt Red has now posted several funding applications for each of the four development goals mentioned above. While the applications aren’t that special in general, they do reveal some interesting tidbits which are most likely related to Cyberpunk 2077.
All of the applications mention a timeline from 01/2016 and 01/2017 till June 29, 2019. The development goals must be reached within this timeframe, implying that Cyberpunk 2077 should be released somewhere in the first half of 2019. Of course, there’s the possibility that these deadlines will be extended if requested.
“The project covers the following period: 01 Jan 2017 – 29 Jun 2019”, reads the Seamless Multiplayer request for proposals.
